The Armstrong Hotel was built in 1902 in Hondo Texas by Andrew Armstrong Jr. initially for the railroad workers and patrons. It is located on Highway 90 in the center of Hondo. It was later renovated adding 10 additional rooms to accommodate military personnel being stationed at the newly opened Hondo Air Force Base.
